New Recipe Contest

I have a reading contest and a crochet knitting contest on my other blogs so now I have decided to have a recipe contest. Who doesn't like contests? I know I love them. Look at the pictures of "My Christmas Cookbook" that I made a few years ago and be the closest guess to how many recipes are in the book without going over and you could be the winner. There will be 3 winners for this contest and the prizes are listed below... Leave me a comment on my blog by midnight (PST) on Wednesday, January 30th that includes the following:

  1. 1. Your guess as to how many recipes are in the Christmas Recipe Book I made for my family and friends a few years ago.[hint, there are 6 sections and recipes are on both sides of the page]
  2. 2. Your favorite recipe, with link to the recipe directions on your blog or where it can be found, so we can all have some new recipes to look at, because we love that!
  3. 3. Your blog address, if you have one, because we love to look at those, too!
  4. 4. Optional: Any kind of greeting you'd like to share, be it normal, informational, funny, poetry, strangeness or whatever.
I'll be giving out the 1st prize a Christmas Cookbook, along with my personal favorite "Holiday Quiche"recipe; 2nd prize will be a recipe related prize; 3rd prize will be a kitchen gaget- prizes for the following:

*Closest guess on how many recipes are in the book, without going over the quantity.
*My favorite comment that makes me think, laugh, or feel good or both.
*Random drawing.
That's 3 prizes! I will try to announce the winners by the end of the weekend, following the end of the contest.
So what are you waiting for? Get on in here and leave a comment with your guess, your favorite recipe and your sense of humor!!

I guess 89 recipes...Hmmm...how to make you laugh? I could stand on my head...you would laugh if you could see me...especially when the blood runs into my head! You could come over to the Coop and go into the archives and read the Honey Buns post. I tried to link that but it did not work. My linking abilities are at the baby stage. Anyway that old post probably doesn't qualify but it is good for a laugh! I will post a recipe later.By for now...Good to see you back!

I posted a recipe but I don't know how to link it to here. I tried...really I did.

I have posted a new recipe at The Coop today and linked it back to here. I just simply can not seem to link to the comments here. So if anybody wants to check out the recipe they will have to go to my site (just click on my name) and click on recipes on my tag list. Yeash! Sorry.

I just saw your comment on my recipe blog. I guess I hadn't been there in awhile. I thought I'd guess 428...but I figure that puts me over. Oh well. I'm adding some cookies to my blog. That's not one recipe but a few. My favorite is the Nanny B's. I love almond extract. http://km-kitchen.blogspot.com/ I'm just now typing recipes in...and noticing that my family often left off instructions. It's a good thing I cooked with my mom and my Gram. But, I still have to guess with some of the recipes.

One of our favorite family recipes is this one:

Which is a frugal easy casserole perfect for cold nights. My blog is the same one - http://happyhooking.wordpress.com/

“There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion.” — Francis Bacon

Its my favorite quote especially when applied to my crochet pre-blocking... LMAO !

I just found your blog and this competition through the swap-bot friends email you sent me. I love the idea of a favourite Christmas recipes book! I'll have to make one for my extended family one day.

This Christmas just gone I had a series of posts on my blog, Should You Eat That? about my Favourite Christmas recipes: Edible Gifts, Meats, Sides & Salads & Desserts. So you guys can all take your pick from those!

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you my guess! I was going to go for 100 but it is taken so I will say 94! :) Thanks for a fun competition!!
